GABA-T

GABA-T enzyme is an enzyme that catalyzes the conversion of GABA, a neurotransmitter and a stress metabolite, to succinate semialdehyde and glutamate. GABA-T enzyme plays a role in regulating the levels of GABA and glutamate, which are involved in many physiological and pathological processes. GABA-T enzyme can be inhibited by some drugs, such as valproic acid and vigabatrin, which are used to treat epilepsy and other neurological disorders.
