Monoamine oxidase (MAO) enzymes are responsible for breaking down monoamine neurotransmitters, such as serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine, in the brain and other tissues. There are two types of MAO enzymes: MAO-A and MAO-B, which have different substrate preferences and tissue distributions. MAO-A mainly oxidizes serotonin and norepinephrine, while MAO-B mainly oxidizes dopamine and phenylethylamine. MAO enzymes play an important role in regulating the levels of monoamine neurotransmitters, which are involved in mood, cognition, emotion, reward and motor functions. Dysregulation of MAO enzymes can lead to various neurological and psychiatric disorders, such as depression, anxiety, Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.
The Frequencies (spectrum) of the MAO A and B receptors are provided in this pill. The Amplitude is optimized for those receptors. The natural frequency of the EAAT2 receptor in the pill entrains the EAAT2 receptor in the body, assisting it to work optimally.
