SULT1 - 120 Tablets

The enzyme SULT1 is a member of the sulfotransferase (SULT) family, which catalyzes the transfer of a sulfonate group from 3′-phosphoadenosine-5′-phosphosulfate (PAPS) to various substrates, such as hormones, neurotransmitters, drugs, and xenobiotics.

SULT1 enzymes are involved in the metabolism and detoxification of these compounds, as well as in their bioactivation to reactive intermediates. SULT1 enzymes have different tissue distributions and substrate specificities, and they can be divided into several subfamilies, such as SULT1A, SULT1B, SULT1C, and SULT1E.
